May you feel God's love and comfort. My brother Bud was the nicest, most patient brother on earth. I want to mention some things that on one told in the memorial service. Bud and Jerry did volunteer work for many years in Rockport. Jerry gave tours at Fulton Mansion for 10 years. They worked at Castaways where they sold clothes and other items to help the needy. When they purged every so often, they took the items to south Texas. They also worked at Good Samaritans assisting the needy with food, clothing, medical, utilities etc.
I've been trying to think of a time when Bud became angry or lost his temper. The only thing I can think of is when he and Jerry were driving and he accidently hit a dog. A woman in another car yelled at him. He tried to catch her and tell her what he thought, but I don't know if he did. The boys were right about Bud-when we were in Rockport out in the boat, Bud was always more interested in me catching a fish than himself.
He knew every time I lost a minnow and hurried to get me another one. One weekend, Ann Poland Parker Bud's cousin , brought her cheerleading megaphone home. At Pantego, there was one lot between our houses. Buddy was at Ann's and yelled in the megaphone something that sounded like "Help".
Daddy heard him and began running as fast as he could down Arkansas Lane. He thought if Bud could yell that loud maybe he could get there in time to save him! Daddy didn't think it was as funny as we did. I will miss by brother so much. I know he has a mansion in Heaven!

Teresa, Gracie, Wyatt, and family, I am so sorry for your great loss. I will be praying for your family. My mom, Jean, was Buddy's sister. My Uncle Buddy was a ray of sunshine when he was around.
I loved his smile and can still hear his laughter when telling a funny story about growing up with 37 cousins. Every time he came to visit, he wanted to help in any way he could. He loved tinkering with things and fixing them.
He was gracious enough to play his guitar at my wedding while his daughter-in-law, Susie Hanson sang. Buddy once told us about a time when the boys were small. They were standing in line at an event and the boys were being a little rowdy. He reached down and gave one of them a swat. When the little boy looked up at him, oops, it wasn't his son. He apologized to the boy's father, but all laughed and no one was upset. The father said the boy needed it anyway because he was rowdy too.
Buddy's mother told about a time when Buddy was a little tyke. She had made a chocolate cake and set it on the dining room table. When she came back, Buddy was at the table and had eaten all the icing off the cake.
He said, "Nannie, I guess I done. We all loved Uncle Buddy and will miss the happy times with him! Dearest Heimer Family, I know you through your daughter Charlotte. Our prayers and kindest thoughts are with you now, in your time of need. He reminds us in John 3: It is my favorite verse from the Bible. We wish you healing, solace and peace.

I am reminded of Hebrews 6: God be with you and may you find comfort in his love. Kindest regards, SGT and Mrs. I remember Buddy Hanson in the fishing trips he plan for Browning Heights at his home. Also Buddy and Jerry always plan the Sherwood Singers gatherings at the church, they introduce their music to us. When they move to Rockport, and they find out I took photo's of courthouses they send me to country seats near where they live. Buddy will be miss. He was one of the few techs I would go to for help when I was stuck on an issue! He used to keep a coffee pot on his desk when we first moved to Houston st. So I began to drink coffee with him. He would make it so strong a spoon could stand up in it!
He asked early on, is it TOO strong. I said, you make it how you like it, cause I can put enough creamer and sugar to make any coffee good!
