Places to stay in Gold Coast

The place is clean, well maintained and had everything we could need for our over night stay. Location is perfect for our needs in the broadbeach area. Loads of cafes and restaurants across the road and even as close as downstairs. Beach is also only a 5 minute walk. The weather wasn't so great for us but we made the most of the luxurious apartment and did manage to catch some late afternoon sun on the nice deck. We were sad to only stay one night! A big thanks to our host, Renuma. Her amazing, lovely apartment is a must- have for Gold Coast visits.

They look exactly the same as the photos shown on the website. Location is great, just a few mins walk to the GLink and everything u need is nearby. There is a mall right next to the apartment and the PF Mall probably the biggest mall in GC I guess is just 8 mins walk. This apartment is one of my favourite airbnb now and you will regret for not booking it. Great space, amazing location, nice facilities. Bed was comfy and all in all it was great! I'd come back for sure. A lovely little apartment in the middle of Broadbeach.

Close to all the best restaurants and bars. Loved the big balcony and natural light. The apartment is exactly as described, in a quiet part of broadbeach. The host was very friendly, and the place was spacious enough for two. I would highly recommend everyone to stay here!

Honestly it is such a beautiful apartment the photos do not do it justice! Renuma is such a lovely host and is so helpful with everything. Had such a lovely stay at this apartment! Wonderful location and benefit of a safe underground car park. Beautiful views over the hinterland and surfers.

During our stay both my partner and I felt the cleanliness was not very good though. A previous guests hair tie and bobby pins were left on the couch which made me question the attention to detail from who had cleaned the apartment. Quite a lot of hair and dust on the floor when first arrived and kitchen surfaces were a bit grubby. Also aircon in bedroom not working very well. Worked great in the living area but not much air coming out of bedroom vent.

Might need a service. Overall an enjoyable stay and would recommend to people who are most interested in location and convenience. Steve came down and introduced himself, was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction for anything to eat and drink. And was happy to help if we had any questions. Nice and tidy unit with everything you need.

Description of airbnb is exactly what it is. Thanks for having us Steven! Excellent location and studio room. Great service by Steven. Would recommend to anyone staying at gold coast. Steves place was great! It was really hard to leave. Great location, walking distance to the beach and all the best bars, restaurants and cafes of Nobbys beach. Steve was friendly and really helpful but just left us to do our thing. Quiet street but still so close to transportation and the beach. Great surf life saving club down the road aswell.

This is a must book room if you need a good place to stay in Gold Coast area.. Good location, nice view and clean room. They have provide more than enough toiletries bath towels, toilet papers, shampoo, conditioners, bath gel, etc during your stay. There are welcome wine and chocolates for you too.

Definitely a good choice to stay with: What a way to start the new year and our new adventure in Australia here at this beautiful place.

The place is exactly like the pictures and that view is just unreal I will miss waking up to that everyday.! Steven is a super host always bringing clean towels etc and my girls loved the thoughtful little chocolates any requests we had was seen to straight away and tips given on where to go with our girls etc. We will definitely be back for some long weekends on the coast thanks for everything guys.! Clean and well equipped. Jackie was friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with.

We were a group of four women who stayed for one night but feel had we had a male as part of our group or been a family the studio would have been too small. Exactly what was advertised and cozy. Appreciate the quick responses. It made our lives alot easier. We stayed here during the commonwealth games, it was a short walk from bus routes and local shops. Check in process was clear and really straightforward. We enjoyed our stay, would recommend. We had a lovely time in this cosy studio, ideally located for trips to Brisbane, Byron and the theme parks!

Great place, very clean with everything provided. Might get a bit crowded for more than 2 people. A big thank you to Jackie for being a perfect host. Happy to have a chat and also happy to leave you in privacy. Place is comfortable with the added bonus of beautiful cats that made our stay even more special.

Great location, short trip to Burleigh or Surfers. Great coffee just around the corner and shopping nearby.

Will definitely stay here again! Jackie is a wonderful host. Friendly, kind and respects your privacy. Any additional towels or sheets were not a problem. Jackie goes above and beyond.

The room is thorughly clean and confortable. The area is quiet so sleep was very pleasant. Great position, nice area. A short walk to the action area of surfers. The apartment was excellent, exactly as what is advertised.

Lovely clean apartment with lots of thoughtful extras. Great location and in a quiet street. Thanks Andre and Alex for hosting us. Located near tram station, bus stops and beaches, the place was clean and tidy with Netflix my younger brother really enjoyed that Everything was easy to reach. It took a 10 to 15 minutes' walk to the tram station which was alright even for my 11 year old brother. There are two supermarkets and many restaurant near the tram station.

The place was true to the pictures, clean and well furnished. We were there for 4 nights and unfortunately experienced a power outage on our first night. The whole neighborhood was out of power due to the rain and strong winds. We rang Andre and he was at our place within 15 mins with a flashlight and candles. We were concerned as we had a 1 year old with us but luckily, the power came up in less than 2 hours.

The neighborhood was nice with the Nerang River just across the street. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything one would expect. Clean, ample linen and good communication from hosts. Thanks for having us stay Also i dont think your neighbour at the front of the unit block appreciates visitors, she had a go at the children for being too loud at 4pm in the afternoon!?!?!

This made the rest of our stay awkward. Very good location, walking distance to the beach and surfer paradise restaurants and bars. The place was clean. Steven was quick to respond to messages and was very helpful!

He made us feel very welcomed into a very clean room. We could not have asked for better accommodation in Surfers Paradise - from the marvellously central location to the fantastic amenities, this apartment is a winner all on its own.

But the service provided by Irina and Steve make it impossible to beat! The welcoming bottle of sparkling and chocolates, and the thoughtful replenishing of bottled water and soft drinks made this trip all the more special.

Thank you both for this awesome experience. The room was wonderful, close to everything. Most important, the room was comfy and tidy. Thanks, we had a lovely trip. What a fantastic introduction to Airbnb! Our first experience was made extra special by Kerry and Rob's hospitality and great communication. An immaculate property with lovely bed linen and everything you need to feel right at home. Would thoroughly recommend this quiet, private property.

Clean as you could get. No fuss weekend which is what we were after. There's not much I can fault, communication was smooth we mainly emailed back and forth organsing a suitable check in time - Kerry was very accomdating , the unit is beautiful and cosy - Kerry and Rob's attention to detail really added that extra mile that made the place outstanding candles, chilled glasses, different variety of tea and coffee. Kerry welcomed us upon check in and showed us around the unit, she had prepared the unit before we arrived.

For us the location was perfect - 10mins drive to pacific fair, shorter distances to local shops, 10mins to broadbeach etc. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay here in the near future. Thanks again kerry and Rob! Rob and Kerry far exceeded any expectations and you can definitely tell Kerry has extensive hospitality and hotel experience with all her special little touches.

The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable and has everything you would need for a long or short stay air-con, cooking items, shampoos, sheets, Netflix, etc. Kerry was extremely flexible for me and was very easily accessible on the messaging feature of the airbnb app.

Very private and comfortable with lockable side access. I would highly reccommend this place and will be back. If you have clicked on this place, and it is available - book it!! Kerry and Rob are terrific hosts and looked after our family so well. Communication beforehand was fantastic, and Kerry asks all the right questions to make sure all that you need and more! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and our eldest son age 8 declared it to be Heaven!

We hope to come again next time we travel to the Gold Coast! The unit is presented to a very high standard with quality bedding and lovely furnishings. Could not fault the property and it also had some lovely homely touches with a selection of books and magazines to read. A quality selection of toiletries and tea and coffee supplies including a coffee pod machine plus 2 bottles of chilled water waiting in the fridge.

Would recommend to everyone without hesitation. We would certainly consider again for a stay at the Gold Coast. Thanks Kerry and Rob. Thank you Kerry and Rob for such a wonderful stay in your beautiful apartment! You were both very welcoming and accommodating. The place is gorgeous and equipped with everything we could have possibly needed for our comfortable stay! Our son, Alfie, found the toys in about 3 seconds flat upon arrival. We thought it was really thoughtful that you hand picked toys and teddy bears to suit his age!

As we visit our friends on the GC regularly, I should imagine we'll be seeing you again! Dave, Gem and Alfie X. Very clean and appeared newly decorated. Would definitely stay there again!

A perfect place for a mini break. The apartment had everything we needed to enjoy our 4 night stay. Beautifully styled with a fresh and funky feeling, very clean and a well equipped kitchen and bathroom, with the little extras that make a difference - like a clothes horse that we used to dry our towels. The balcony was a beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast in the sunshine. Leanne's apartment is amazing. Great views, central to literally everything, very clean, and has pretty decor. I didn't want to leave!

Haha Leanne was prompt with replies and we even bumped into her in the elevator so she showed us around the apartment and pointed out nearby attractions. Leanne's unit was an absolutely perfect place to stay for my work conference held at the Casino. The location was incredibly convenient and the accommodation provided everything I needed and more. Leanne was great, the place was better than I expected. So beautiful, with a perfect location.

Leanne's room is a very good place to live. It is clean and convince and with good views. The bus and train station is near by just mins for walking.

I really love the place. I hope to be back again. Natalie's place was the most unique airbnb experience I've had so far. It was a container designed into a comfortable house. It was a perfect getaway for my girlfriend and I. Amazing hospitality with thoughtful touches.

We will definitely be coming back here. Looking forward to spotting the new container next time: It would be easier to find the place if you could check in while it's still day time. It's unique concept of experiencing living in a container. Overall cleanliness is okay. The tiny house provides all the comforts and amenities required in a great location.

Close to shops and the Gold Coast but with a country feel. Such a lovely, cosy little place to stay, perfect for a couple! Natalie was easy to reach if needed, and very helpful. Natilie's place is stylish and very comfortable. Will certainly be searching for her again if i ever need to stay on the gold coast.

Thank you so much, we loved it. You have done an amazing job with the space, very inspiring, and you were so warm and welcoming. Natalie's place was such a stylish, cozy, and unique place to stay for our time at the Gold Coast. It was a quick walk from the nearest bus stop and Uber ride to the Surfer's Paradise area where we mostly were during our time there. Natalie had a hectic morning the day of our check in with her cleaner not being able work that day, but went out of her way to make sure the bnb was spotless by leaving work and coming over to clean and make sure everything was perfect by the time we checked in.

We got to meet her and one of her daughters and they were both super sweet. Natalie was hospitable, thoughtful, and had excellent communication with us during our stay! Would recommend staying in this unique space to anyone! If you want to stay out of the busy Surfers area, but still want to be an easy walk away, this is a fantastic place to stay with all facilities available and an easy 5 Min walk into Cavill Mall.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Check out the fish in the river during change of tide under the bridge, they can be quite mesmerising. Great value for money and a 10 minute walk to Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise. Room was well maintained and clean. Rina let us know she would be available at any point and was very quick to respond to any questions.

Very happy with our stay. Beautiful place that is close to everything! Nice and quite environment with quick access to the popular spots and public transport. And the host Rina is so helpful and responsive, our requests are kindly solved: Excellent place to stay.

So close to all the main attractions in Surfers Paradise. The apartment was lovely and great space for 2 people! Would stay here again! Great accommodation in a central location.

Rina was professional, courteous, friendly and happy to help with any queries. Would stay there again if visiting Surfers. Great location, great amenity and great price. More importantly, great communication with the host.

What a great place to stay!! Location was perfect for a short stroll to patrolled beaches and numerous dining options. Fresh crisp bed linen and stunning pool area made our stay. Rina's excellent communication made it such a breeze to find, park, check in and out. Lovely little place - perfect for our short stay and had everything we needed!

Easy stress free check in! Jessica was very friendly and great host!! The room was exactly as pictured. The location is really convenient. What a great find. Beautiful and cozy home that's a short walk away from the shopping centre. Didn't get to meet Jess but her sister was around to help with check in and made everything go smoothly.

Unfortunately I only stayed for one night, but Jessica and her partner are wonderful hosts. The room was very clean and included thoughtful touches like a bottle of water on the bedside and your own kettle and tea in the room.

Watching the sunrise over the lake from the balcony was a beautiful bonus. Beautiful space to stay! Relatively close to beaches, shops and restaurants! Lovely family, who highly recommend staying here: The room is perfect, nice space, very clean, confy and the bathroom is very good, great shower.

The location is soooo good! Near the beach and in a perfect spot to go north or south on Gold Coast. And Iovanah and all her family are incredible, they do the best to help us!!! I certainly would stay there again! Joey and Lovanah's place is in a nice neighbourhood close to the sea.

There are nice local cafes and a food night market nearby. The room is comfortable with attached bathroom. We stayed during a yoga training and the place was perfect for that.

It was only a couple of blocks from the beach. It was very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to others. Take some time to check out the area around here. Nobby Beach is beautiful and great restaurants along the way.

This is a convenient location to the beach, food and Bond University. One of my favorite things to do was just sit and listen to all of the birds. A lovely place to stay and if I ever find myself back in the Gold Coast, I know where I will be staying!

The place was sparkling clean, really neat, cosy and modern. Loved the small touches like the painting above the bed with seashells. Lovanah was super welcoming and she has a lovely family. It was incredibly fun having Lamour the cat around too. Will definitely return for another stay! Find Places to Stay in Robina on Airbnb. Discover entire homes and private rooms perfect for any trip. Spectator value too with Kelly 'twinkle toes' Kaugla, Benji Neale's dashing clearances, the old bloke Evo in a new role, and Darcy Dienjes killing of the high balls into Abbey 'n Mitchell et Al.

Quickie has Abbey's number and Kingie took care of Mitchell. Nice to see footy is still footy - Spackers was on the end of a few from his ex team.. Finished third - without the recruitment crew coup of - and will take on Palmy at Palmy who were touched up big time by Sandgate.

Remarkable roller coaster ride this season given the coaches and players had to contend with a turnover of 52 players and around one third team changes each week. All are to be congratulated. A selector's nightmare approaches. Best thing on show in the Twos was the celebration of Fults' th club game in the Ones and 3 in the Twos this year in which time you can add 10 Reserves goals to the Gazillion he amassed in the ones to be the second highest ever in the QAFL.

They finished 6th, just off the pace. Colts snuck in by a goal and finished third. Maybe a little too defensive in the final stanza. They will rock up to the same opponent in their first final, I think. The Ladieeez faced Kedron, again, in the Big Dance.

Well done to all and let's hope the Seniors and Colts can bring home a couple of other flags for Tink has been named in the All Australian Squad to be reduced to 22 Tipster: Provisional standings, subject to appeal. And I shall become responsible. Best performance of the day was Raymond and Joyful's 45th wedding anniversary.

For Ray that is 45 years a single bloke and 42 a married yoke making 87 as a Doggie. A lady doesn't tell. The business stanza beat us. For the rest we took it right up to Labrador. Benji Neale's second quarter sausage roll bent more than Beckham. Takes courage, or a sling tackle, to aim that wide of the behind post.

Just stood off him until the ball was in play and then contested. When it wasn't lace up he had Big Bad Barry appealing to the adjudicator. Took him to ground and ran off him and the zone on numerous occasions to set up a foray into our forward line. We are a chance! But as Guru Bob once said: Remember the words of General Custer as he witnessed the total annihilation of his troops at Little Big Horn "I think you'll see a completely different side next week.

Colts still have the finals to look to. Tipster Hunt who had chucked in the towel in the tipping, got more bang for his buck by taking out the big'un. They pipped the Kiwis by a point. Back-Off-Dad Coop and Scotty are doing a 2 step alternating the lead. Scotty's big 8 took him one past Coop's So it comes to the final round and both will take their nerves of suspect steel up against Surprised Saint caught by CCTV this week double handling his card , Mick Williams and moi, each on ; plus Grandpa Walters, The Headmaster, Robbie Matthews and Nola ers all of who will be looking for that certain roughie or three.

Howie, Dicko, Luke Frawley and Trent Arthur on are next in line but the bookies are offering them to name your own odds. After a scrappy first stanza, another day at the office to confirm a finals berth. We'll deal with Labrador next week and celebrate Ryan Dienjes senior games at Broadie , while the Maggies and Palmy will fix up the Siders and Mounties respectively paving the way for a third spot finish. The Magoos looked to be in charge but fell away to lose a clutch match.

Have to knock over two top five sides by a gazillion and then look to the Siders to thrash the Tiges. The ladieez are in the big dance after a commanding performance under lights. Six punters took my advice and therefore seven picked the card. Rob and Taylor Matthews father and son were among them while uncle Brad let the family down by missing out on the Doggies.

Trent and Judd Arthur also father and son and grand father GA were guilty of exactly the same crime. They are out in front by the proverbial furlong at this stage of the season and respectively and cool heads are called for. Three old and ugly heads are next on On and with a slim chance are The Headmaster, Rob Matthews and yours truly.

Matt Littlechild, in the face of an ugly grudge with Treasurer, returned to some form with an 8 - he should've had a 9 but forgot to tip the Demons Saints clash.

Speaking of Clashes only 3 tipsters went for the deposed coach theory and tipped the SUNs. Tiges and Saints upset most with 30 selecting the former and 17 the latter. Rusted on pies supporters were popular which led partly to Jnr Bechan pulling in front of Snr. As Guru Bob once uttered "Many Tipsters are called but only a few can win the week's holiday for two on the Gold Coast.

A crushing weekend with an average winning margin of points across the Ones, Magoos and Colts. Eddie Sansbury had the ball on the proverbial string and bagged 6. He plays basketball, tunnel ball and footy simultaneously. He is our leading seniors goalkicker for the season on 15 from 6 games. In the Magoos Squiz had a day out in his new blond helmet and kicked 10 to bring his seasons total to 41 from And great to see Seb Fahey return with a classy second half.

The Ladieez have won something or other that should properly be termed 'finishing on top of the ladder'. Their quest for an historic flag begins next week: It's hotting up in the kitchen. The upshot of which is joint leadership between Coop, and Scotty who gambled on the SUNs; Surprised Saint consolidated second place, while Bob Walters and The Headmaster are in contention at equal third with great mate Mick Williams and fourth respectively.

Bob's recovery since mid season has coincided with grandfathership which makes one much much wiser. Luke Frawley's 8 saw him leap amongst others, Pedro and Wilko who both crashed ignominiously, while Red Edge finds himself in unknown territory on page 1 of the leader board.

As the guru might've said: Best wishes to the Footescray mob who have had better weeks: Stan Rose has had a fall and had a couple of supine hours until he was found. Then his great mates the Johnsons decided to go out in sympathy, and timed their exit from Bunnings to coincide with a red light runner on Bermuda St.. Ray and Joy were knocked around and extremely lucky to survive in reasonable shape. Ones pipped at the post; Magoos fixed up well and truly, and the Colts, despite an encouraging last stanza, went down by 3 goals.

New Leader Scott Abercrombie Back-off-dad Coop dropped one to Scotty ending temporarily? The pelaton has 7 on , 2 on and 5 on bunched on page one. Lynda Dicko, Mark Vowles and Rob Bechan Snr astounded the field with 9s from 9 but apart from Lynda will not bother the judges at the end of the straight? Robbie Matthews found a gap in the pack and moved into contention with a good 8, and page threers Brett-the-Butcher and Thomas Howard also went down by only the one.

Red Edge finally tipped the Tipster. A big win as predicted in my early call with the Moran Bros.. My spies inform me that the boys gave it all and their tanks were empty at the last break. Throw in Shreevy and Nick Burton off and iced up for the last stanza and we did well to hold up the inevitable come back by a side well beaten to that point. Magoos won in a canter with Squiz adding to his worth by 6, while the Colts tasted the bitterness of a 2 point defeat.

The Ladiezz continued on their unbeaten way with one round remaining I believe. History in the making. Barry Holland and Mick Williams had par 6s to make their centuries. Best rounds were Lobba usually out to lunch , Bob Walters out to lunch in London , and Luke Frawley out to get to the lead who all scored brilliant 8s with Lobba missing on the Tiges, Bob on the Hawks and Luke on Melbourne. Mother Wollerman was sitting pretty on 6 from 6 until Sad Sunday - 6 from 9 end result.

Haven't heard from Muzza or Jye Smith?? Speciality to be Dave's footy franks and a can of - you guess. Don't think about it! Just flush when finished cooking. Bye this week for the Ones, Magoos and Colts. Worth noting Palmy went down to the Mounties. No easy games as we sit fourth behind Lab, Palmy, and Siders. The Ladiezz did not get ahead of themselves after the Bully spread and are still undefeated and well travelled.

Four big 9s this week. Pedro moved to equal second on 95 while Dicko is now a player on Leader on his own is Coop 'back-off-dad' Wilko on Coop has been there for a record 7 weeks. Equal second and one back are Scotty, Nola and Pedro; while Barry Holland and Mick share third spot on yet another one behind. Sub Groups Coaches current and past: Dani Killey 83 and Al Lawson 67 Grudge 2: Tales 92 and Mangus 86 Grudge 3: Barry Holland 94 and Brendan Sexton 86 Minors: Matt 85, Chris 84, Steve 77 and Sam 75 Wilkinsons: Taylor 91, Rob 90 and Brad 85 Bechans: Chris 92, Lynda 87, Jacob 77 and Josh 74 Smiths: B-T-B 79 and Jye 75 Arthurs: Trent 91, GA and Judd 85 Walters: Bob 90 and Maree 87 Players: Squiz 88 and Mitch Kennedy 87 Umpires: Muzza 84 Game Day Volunteers: Mark Thompson pretending he is Denis Pagan.

Strangely entertaining game, but joyless. Thought we were going to find top gear when Lancaster put us in front early in the final stanza. Couple of last minute big 'outs' in Mitch and Shreevy didn't help the cause, and about 8 blokes are yet to shave. Maybe our inaccuracy was the bottom line? Surfers 59 made a mockery of wearing shorts! New brains trust spotted hiding behind the canteen signs: Thursday night training regulars Pedro and Board member Pip Palmer deep in conversation.

Surfers were also trumped by Captain America Lulu, last seen hobbling proudly in his Broadie shirt. The Colts continue on their merry way and sit second on percentage to the Panthers. We see them here, we see them there, Colts are everywhere. The Ladiezz have a percentage of Tells you all you need to know. Barry Holland has come off the bench when no one was looking and bobbed up with the lucky Chinese 8 to take him to an even luckier Chinese 88 next to Nola, just one behind Coop Back-Off-Dad and Scotty on One other breakaway group on 87 with two football thinkers, followed by a hard working single on The Pelaton is within range with 7 rounds to go.

All but one punter took the Bloods; the draw was split 38 to the Giants and 16 for the Hawks 3 failed to submit. Only 10 predicted the outrage that was on display at Ethiad on Sat night. Dicko and Taylor Matthews moved on to the leader board at the expense of Sandy McDonald, who has dropped off for the first time, and Brendan Sexton who returns after a short run. As the Guru might've said "There are two theories on how to pick the card, but neither works, especially when there is a draw.

Take 18 lotto balls, allot each number a team, then select any 9 and send 'em in. Seniors outclassed in the second half although still only 4 straight kicks in it halfway thru the last stanza. Loved the front row bullocky RL work by Big Mitchy!

Magoos held a handy lead at quarter time which was whittled away over the succeeding three quarters. The Ladieez came home from the Gympie muster with another victory under the belt. Geebung training at Ord Minnett this Tues and Thursday 9. On the basis you were not wrong, we have allocated 1 to everyone who tipped either the Cats or Giants. And FYI 10 tipped the Cats This, and 2 points for nominating a draw, has been the policy of our comp. The other policy in play from time to time is that a no-submission round scores you the least number of winners as selected by any of our participants.

Failure to submit any one game is scored as a loss. Wilko went agin the Woods. Nola dropped one, Scotty co-duxed page one with a 6 Sandy McDonald was the other , and joined Coop in the lead on Best of the round was Lynda and Dicko with 7s. Never-the-less we are moved to observe as the Guru may have: Fortunately she forwarded them to me rather than doing her normal thing, and deleting anytime she sees the BLOODS mentioned!

There have been calls for sack the timekeeper for our first loss at home. Didn't get there - was still at the SCG stunned and elated - but am informed that after 9 changes the team performed well including impressive displays by debut youngsters. Result in doubt all day. Coaches and playing list are to be congratulated - just about impossible to prepare a team with week-to-week changes in the order of a new team every two weeks.

Magoos had a good win with Saad amongst the goals, while the Colts took the foot off the pedal and snuck in by a Sydney margin. Ladiez bothered but winners. Others to pick 8 were Fults, Lobba and Stuey. All missed on the Hawkers. Only person to give the Hawks the nod was Lynda Dicko. Unfortunately in between shifting house the Dickos missed on the Saturday games and Chris in particular has suffered. But everyone's happy in the new house.

The one pointers were popular winners. Methinks he went early on the roughies - plenty of rounds left Howie. Have to look hard to find a lay-down-misere in Round 15! A draw for the seniors against an enthusiastic bottom side. Thank you Doctor Who. Maybe we were all ahead of ourselves? Moon boots the fashion statement of the day with Lurch and Searly leading the way. Unfortunately they will be dressed that way for some time to come. Ressies, with a contracted SUNs player no less Saad , had a dominant final stanza to defeat the Hawks; the Colts had a runaway win, and the Ladiez continued on their merry way.

The Scott brothers had most of us in a twist after the first two games but the cream is rising. Coop picked up a good 3 to remain out in front on 72 with Grandma Nola, after an impressive 4, hot on his heels on Chris Littlechild and Jye Smith completes the list of those with 4s. Those who did had various combinations of the Eagles, Blues, Saints and Melb in their quaddies.

The Tortoise - Chris Barlow - has risen 22 places since Round 2. In this round only one favourite got up, Port Thank whoever, the byes are over. Slugfest in the rain at Ord Minnett. Our skipper Quickie at Full Back, a major contributor.

The Ladieez did it again on the Saturday. Footy tipping wisdom, however, is what you get when you ignore them all. A brilliant 4 including the SUNs - Bombers double has him on the soixante neuf leading a bunch on Every Tipster took the Crows.

Our average was 3. The most significant contribution to our supreme tipping is a bias provided by geography. Pretty close to twice in each case. Special mention to the punter who changed his Melbourne tip to Collingwood after a few reds. Special mention to Stan Rose who had a pacemaker 'fitted' to his red, white and blue heart yesterday. Apart from myself, all have paid. I will do same this week when She-who-must-be-obeyed, will hopefully place extra in my raised supplicant hands.

Never going to lose but did contemplate our big come-from-behind last year. Jarred Ellis played his third senior game 2 in and was the goods. Very pleasing to observe Benji Neal's form on meat pies before the game - contribution to date is a present from above. Went on to win the business quarter handsomely. The Godfather reckons there were 14 plus Academy kids on the sidelines - could put a decent side on the park! Magoos had a good'un with Squiz bagging 6 - pity he couldn't do it in the tipping comp.

The opposition's 6 points is their total 'Against' for the season. Coop Back-off-dad and Mick Williams both scored 6 from 6 and are tied on Two other perfect scores. Double 'L' who sits right at the other end of the table, and Barry Holland probably because his Sainters had the bye. And the Media Manager will not broadcast his 2!

Geography as a factor in tipping? It's getting good at the halfway mark. As the Guru Tipster might've said "Sticks and stones may break your bones but 9 from 9 will do more damage. Missing 15 goals from last week's set up, and the Mounties made it touch and go all the way.

Welcome back to Harry Kerr with 5 4 to half time , and the eye catching Panozzo performance particularly in the first half. Magoos started well but were worn down, while the Colts kicked off the day as the women finished it, with big wins. Already played 35 in the Ones and 47 in the Magoos. It pays to pay. Taylor Haley paid this week - please note Mangus - and top scored with an 8 and is the new leader.

Other 8s were Red Edge who was slowly losing all credibility, Stan Rose who has lost all credibility and 3 cards to date; Taylor Matthews who is finding himself; Barry Holland who has stopped looking; and JD whose 8 was rivalled by mum's, and GA's, selection of the Hawks.

In the only poll that counts Trumble and Shorten are tied on 54 apiece. As the Trumpster Tipster says " The bells ring, and that's very very fantastic, but still we pick losers. A most satisfying win. After an initial arm wrestle, big Mitchy kicked an imperious and arrogant goal which appeared to increase team arrogance.

Seven unanswered goals ensued. It was wonderful footy, sometimes sublime. Good foot skills, great spread, link and carry, selfless work and run, and courage at the contest. And when it mattered in the third stanza, Searly's two steadying goals in amongst a ten goal barrage. To top it off, McMahon's debut suggested we've found a hard nut of size and skill and the potential to bulk bill. Shielas had a win again, and still have a percentage of infinity.

The Magoos were a chance all day in a high quality game. And the Colts in their own words "had got ahead of themselves. Pedro 55 still by a nose with his mates the Johnsons 54 one back tucked in on the rail. Classy pack of 5 one further back on So did the Bater in a welcome return to form. Al Lawson is back on the Giants - he also picked Port to win the bye???? These two games were the discriminators for the round.

ESPN gender averages are I'm not game to compute our gender splits at this stage. Leading averages by Australasian geographic region are as follows.

Clearly we are a superior sub-Qld group and would be better if Muzza Williams on 47 in Vic could do better. As Guru Bob might've said "In times of doubt in the Tipping Temple Muzza has the face of a tipster who is always trying to remember what he was thinking about when he reported Russell Crow. Round 8 Hope this is not coming to you on Windows Women are undefeated with a percentage of ; Colts undefeated; Magoos went down in uninspiring exhibition; Good win by the Ones in greasy conditions.

Two match ups proving to be match winners Roysey v Brittain and Kingy v Trewhella. We are building, building. Great to see all willing to tackle. Still having nightmares watching Mitch Brewer hang time in second stanza. BOG 3 from 3, guess who? Young Jack Boston showed a clean pair of hands. Roll on 'Siders on their dung heap. Who'd be a coach?

Ran into BA at the Q Centre yesterday multi tasking with post game analysis phone calls to coaching team while grocery shopping.

Loaded up with toilet rolls, celery and other stuff that was covered, he had checked out and was a good furlong from the chick when he was accosted by a fellow shopper.

Yep, he had switched shopping trolleys with the disgruntled gentleman. It was the large packet of toilet rolls that had him confused while he was discussing Liam Nelson's near death experience. Year of the Upset? Pedro has strung together 7s to be out in front on his Pat Malone on And she is in a group of 6 one back.

Best tally was 7 by Mangus, Trewavas, Hunt and Pedro. Lynda is 'wearing the pants' in her all male family. Chris Littlechild has embarrassed two generations of Littlechilds in recent weeks. Shorten and Turnbull at 41 each in the only poll that counts, and in remembering Lou Richards, the Kiss of Death is on Hawthorn v Sydney GF?

The Colts ground out a win while the Women travelled north to wallop Coomera. We would've been baring our rears in Broady Mall if we'd been playing pool. The Ones wanted the nut but couldn't seem to find an avenue for the air conveyance away from the packs old English for stoppages , or find space or player from which to bother the scoreboard attendant.

We looked hemmed in on the slimmer deck. Cannot figure why Shreevy was ousted by GC17!! He should be playing in Shanghai Round 8.

The Resort Club
