Cable Car Division employees speak highly of him as a teacher who demanded the best from everyone.

Powell Street cars operated from the car barn to the outer terminals. California Street cars did not operate at all. The protesters made their headquarters in Justin Herman Plaza, right next to the inner terminal. The F line was also taken out of service. Cable car service was restored on Saturday, but was interrupted during the day by another burst of protesters.

The group tried to march up Powell to Union Square, but was stopped by the police. Some of the protestors climbed on top of Powell Street cable car The rest of the group crossed Market to the San Francisco Center and broke store windows.

They moved up Market and blocked the streetcar tracks at Eighth. Cars ran from there to the outer terminals. This renders the cable cars even less of an option for local people and makes them into more of an amusement park ride for tourists. This is not what Mrs Klussmann had in mind.
